Incoming 8th Grade Students-Elective Options

Dear Current 7th Graders,
Below are the options for elective courses next year. As always, there could be changes due to staffing in the fall-for example, Art might be split into a semester class. 
Fill out the Google Form while signed into your school Gmail account. You will be able to edit your choice until the survey is closed.
Make sure to discuss your choices with your parent or guardian. The elective classes sign-up will be open until Tuesday, 4/25.
Choice A: Red and Black Band (beginning)- Year-long band. Concert band -requires performance.
Choice B: Panther Band (advanced)-Year-long band class. Concert band-requires performance.
Choice C: Spanish-Year long class. Start or expand your Spanish knowledge. Students will take this class with a high school teacher and are expected to keep up with the course requirements.
Choice D: REQUIRES APPLICATION-College and Career Education-CCE is an 8th-grade elective course designed to support students in developing the skills and strategies needed for AP and Honors courses in High School.  There are guest speakers, field trips to local universities, and a tight-knit community of students that will support each other.  Students will learn about the vast options in high school and beyond, with targeted projects showing all these different opportunities.  An application (submitted to Mr. Olivieri) is required for admittance into CCE.
Choice E: Art
Choice F: Office TA - Semester long class-Work in the office answering phones, running passes, greeting visitors, and a variety of other office skills. Requires approval from office staff.
Choice G: Teacher TA - Semester long class-Work as an assistant for a teacher of your preference. Must have approval from the teacher.
Directed Studies-ONLY check this if you are currently enrolled in Directed Studies and will be continuing next year.
