Grading Information
Teachers at the middle school have two methods for grading to reflect the student understanding of the content.
Traditional 0-100% on assignments, which translates to the A-F grading scale below:
90-100%=A
80-89%=B
70-79%=C
60-69%=D
50-59%=F (students will not receive less than a 50% per board policy)
Teachers may also use standards-based grading rubric scales. These scores are marked 0-4, with more detailed information provided within Schoology on where the student's work was reflected in the 0-4 scale. I am including two graphics below. One shows the 0-4 scale that is used by teachers who grade work in this manner. The other is how the rubric translates to an A-F grade at the end of the progress report period/semester grade.
*When in Schoology, students and/or parents and guardians can hover over a grade and see the exact rubric score and the grade scale.
