More about the Panther Club

SCHOOL COMMUNITY BUILDING EVENTS WE COORDINATE OR ASSIST WITH FOR SLVMS STUDENTS AND TEACHERS/STAFF: 
Sponsor Teacher/Staff Lunches and/or appreciation events, coordinate the Halloween Dance, sponsor the “Honor Roll Ice Cream  Celebration” twice per school year, provide a light breakfast and snack to students during STAR testing week (when appropriate), sponsor the Panther Pantry through start-up funding and training of coordinators, provide volunteers for the following events or projects: to assist with handing out PE uniforms at the beginning of the year, to help with school photo day, to assist with scoliosis testing, to help with the school Magazine Drive, to help with vision and hearing testing, to work in the school garden and any other volunteers that we are asked to “recruit” throughout the year. We also provide chaperones and a snack bar for all school dances.

Buses for 6th Department Grade Outdoor Adventure Camp - $400
Drama Club Department - Alice in Wonderland production - $1,000

Honor Roll Ice Cream Celebration - $300
Halloween Dance - $300
Athletics (Panther Pantry Income set aside for athletic expenses) - $5,600

HOW WE RAISED MONEY IN 2013-14

MISCELANEOUS FUNDRAISING: Safeway eScrip, NobHill shopping card program, Amazon.com shopping portal on Panther Club  web site, Dance Snack Bar sales, Open House Dinner sales and 50/50 Raffle, Coupon Book sales, Box Tops for Education, Drive For Schools Raffle, Mama Mia’s in Felton Dine out Night, baked goods sales at Back To School Night, “Flower Power" flower sales and finally, donations!

PANTHER PANTRY: The Panther Pantry is a snack bar program sponsored by the Panther Club and provides a source of income for all after school, Middle School Athletics. All of the profits from the Panther Pantry help to pay for equipment and uniforms, and officials, and helps to make it possible for SLVMS students to continue to participate in after school sports without paying to play.
